I'm a children's author whose first book 'Zelah Green: Queen of Clean'  is published by Egmont UK and won the Manchester Children's Book Awards 2010.  It was also shortlisted for the 2010 Young Minds, the 2009 Waterstones Children's Book Prize, the NASEN awards and the 2010 Bolton Children's Book Awards and longlisted for the Branford Boase 2010. The sequel 'Zelah Green: One More Little Problem' came out shortly afterwards as did a new series, 'The Taming of Lilah May' (Frances Lincoln,2012). My first ghost story'The Haunting of Tabitha Grey',  ghost story for 11+ was published April 2012 and has been shortlisted for: The Portsmouth Brilliant Book Awards 2013, the Worcestershire Teen Book Awards 2013, The Yorkshire Coast Awards 2013,the Nottinghamshire Brilliant Book Awards 2013 and the Staffordshire Young Teen Book Awards 2013.

I'm also a freelance book reviewer and the author of three books on Virginia Woolf.
